Media Player Classic Home Cinema problem

Hello, i need your help!
Im using MPC-HC, and the problem is i cant open mkv's videos which have HD resolution(720p,1080p,etc). before, when i played it on Windows 8.1 its working well, but now when im using Windows 10 why its always Stopped/sometimes Not responding!
anyone know this problem? or maybe you have suggestion/solution about this?

According to the homepage of Media Player Classic Home Cinema, the program is not yet compatible with Windows 10.
Having a look at the code repository, the developers are currently integrating fixes for Windows 10.

You should report this problem to the developers of Media Player Classic Home Cinema!

I recommend using VLC player.
It's free and plays "everything"

good luck

Hello Iwanstwn7,

Try to change video output settings.
Go to View->Options/Playback/Output->DirectShow Videoand choose the proper output (System Default, Overlay mixer Renderer, Enhanced Video Renderer etc.).
On every change you have to restart MPC to take effect.

Hope this helps.

I am running Media Player Classic HC x64 Build 1.5.2.3456 on Windows 10 Pro and all is working well. What version MPC-HC are you using?

MPC-HC probably won't run MKV's unless you install a codec for it, check here.

VLC has all the codecs you need native, so you don't need to install any extra codec packs for it.

I didn't install any codecs in Windows 10 but some pc builds may have to for any player. I play 99% mkv files. They are Bluray rips and size are from 9gb-25gb. Codecs are great to have in case you come across some video files that require them. Hope it works out for you.

cheers

I installed the lasted version and i'd install for Mega, so its included codec tool. my driver AMD Catalyst has the lastest version too.

tried it and still crash. i dunno why, but i'll try for clean install again later
