For people who want to try Windows to Go - you need to download the FOR ENTERPRISE version. The Forum Links point to the standard technical preview which doesn't have it.
The enterprise version is now on MSDN and TechNet for those who still have TechNet subscriptions.
To create a Windows to Go on a NON CERTIFIED USB / external HDD / SSD follow THIS LINK (it's for Windows 8.1 but the same procedure is valid).
You need the IMAGEX program from the WIM (download the W7 WAIK).

ensure you use the boot command from the W10 ISO

Doesnt work the boot command from W10 ISO isnt available. Can you give a clue?

Use DISM instead of IMAGEX

Finally did it using the Enterprise X86 ISO and a little program called gimagex a GUI of imagex. Main problem was the boot files and going to the written USB key windowssystem32 and running bcdboot from there was the key. Gave me lots of errors lots of times.
But the boot files were written successfully after millions of presses of ok on the above.
Does Windows to go not include drivers? I couldnt get my printers and some other devices to work when I got it to boot. I could download the driver using driver update but it would just sit there saying installing but never did.
Anyway its been an experience. Main reason was I wanted to test my old Pentium Dual Core to see if Win 10 would run and it does. Only problem was with printers and drivers.

What happens when you turn the printer on whilst this system is running. Does it not find the driver automatically ?
Gets stuck in device detection and driver never gets installed. Might try the retail version instead of enterprise tomorrow although its the same build. Dont want to upgrade 8.1 just yet and I know the x64 driver doesnt work as it crashes the print spooler in both 8.1 x64 and win 10 x64.
Finally got printer to install after about an hour. Trying to install Firefox but the setup is taking ages and IEkeeps crashing.
Has anyone noticed in the Enterprise Control Panel, there is a Windows to Go entry, I noticed when running the USB stick and it searched for suitable USB drives but found none. Wonder if this is an easier way to make Windows to go.
