I have Windows10 Home 64bit. Somehow Wondershare MobileGo has piggybacked on another app - don't know which unfortunately. I certainly did not want it and uninstalled from Control Panel. However there are many files remaining in the Registry. I am worried about just deleting them as I wonder if doing so will have any adverse effect elsewhere. Can anyone advise me in words of one syllable please.
Hello JamandJerusalem,
Use free edition of CCleaner to remove those left behind files.
Click-on the registry cleaner button to remove all.
You may need to run the registry cleaner a few times to completely remove everything.
You'll be prompted to back-up whatever you remove, be sure to do this.
Download CCleaner here:
Hope this helps,
John
Hi John
Thanks for the quick reply. I have run CCleaner and wow there were hundreds of files but I eventually located a number of Wondershare ones which I deleted. I then ran regedit but it still shows up with files covering Default REG_SZ. Install info REG_SZ, Showtip REG_SZ, Show welcome REG_SZ,TipsEnable REG_DWORD and Version REG_SZ. Can I delete or is there some other way? I can't see them anywhere in CCleaner.
Thanks Vivian
Here's a removal tool.
If the removal tool doesn't completely get rid of it, you'll have to install it again, then follow a removal guide.
There are several removal guides for this in Google search.

Norton will not let me download the uninstaller - is it a false positive?
Hello, I was away for awhile eating dinner, and taking a break.
Disable Norton, then downloaded, installed, and run the cleanup tool.
You can set Norton's disable function either by time or to remain disabled until you reboot.
I ran Norton for over 10 years, but no longer need it. Don't like paying for software.
At least for me, Windows Defender and Windows Firewall seem to do the trick.
Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi
I have now removed everything and just hope it all works in the days to come - all will be revealed in due course.
Thank you for your help - I'll come back and post as solved in a few days if all remains well.
OK, keep us posted.
John
Yes all still seems well on that front
Many thanks for your help
Glad to see you got it sorted.
