When using Google Chrome (which is up to date) or Mozilla Fire Fox Facebook Comes to a crawl after 15 to 20 minutes. I cannot even watch a video as the audio is fine but the video playback is very choppy. I have even tried this at different times of the day such as 8:00 AM, 11:00 PM and 1:00 AM with the same results. If I use Microsoft Edge I have run Facebook for over an hour with no problems. Does Microsoft hinder other browsers with Windows 10?? All was well before upgrading. Kaspersky and Malwarebytes say all is well. What do I need to do????? I am running the 64 bit pro version of 10 on a Dell Precision M4600. I do not want to use Microsoft Edge for my browser, I would rather continue using Google Chrome. Thanks.
have you tried to reinstall the chrome? have you set the HTML5 or Flash for the preferred player from chrome settings?
Have you tried cleaning the cache manually or via CCleaner and changing DNS?
How to Switch to OpenDNS or Google DNS to Speed Up Web Browsing
Go to Adobe Flash Player Install for all versions
Select the PPAPI plugin
FB switched to HMTL5. Flash is way better than HTML5 and yet everyone keeps ditching it, including Chrome.
Google Chrome will start blocking Flash by default | WIRED UK
Thank you for your feedback. It is not only videos but Facebook itself locks up and comes to a crawl. It is the newsfeed also.
Download and install the latest Beta version of Fire Fox.
Thanks but I prefer Google Chrome.
Me too.
I have uninstalled and re-installed Google Chrome and re-set to default. This worked for about 1/2 hour and then back to the same o. Videos stalling and Facebook locking up. Have changed the DNS settings and will see how that works.
