Is it possible to use a non-login email in the Mail app?
I login to Windows using my personal Outlook/Microsoft account. I'd like to use my blog's Outlook address in the Mail app, so I don't need to use the web interface when replying to emails.
Is this possible without messing up my login account?
(I REALLY need to get a book on Windows 10. LOL)
Of course. It works with all kind of email accounts.
I have outlook, hotmail, gmail and businesses accounts in Email app. You can also set it up to get them all in one inbox.
It is pretty straightforward, just click to add email, but if you'll need any help we will be here.
Edit: You can find tutorials by Brink here.
What email account is this that doesn't have a password?
I'm sorry, but all mail server email accounts, POP, IMAP, Exchange, have a username and password for access.
Now, perhaps this password was saved and you never had to enter it except once, or someone setup the account for you.
More details please.
Hmm, where did you get this statement from? As I understand thecpchick, he/she just wants to setup another email account beside the one he/she is using as login account.
Did I missed something?
First sentence: "Is it possible to use a non-login email in the Mail app?"
I agree the OP wishes to add his Outlook Blog's address to email, but he will need to know it's logon information to set it up.
I suppose what I need to know is the OP's definition of a "non-login" email account, hence my first response.
Yes, you can read it in this way too. Lets wait for OP to see what he/she meant.
Ahh, I see the confusion... let me clarify a bit.
Address I login to Windows 10 with: janedoe1234@outlook
Address I want to use in the Mail app: janedoesblog@outlook
^^obviously example addresses
I have a password for both, but I just wanted to know if I could use the janedoesblog email without screwing up the janedoe1234 login account.
Of course you can. just follow tutorials in post #2.
