Microsoft has released Windows 10 10041 to Slow ring users, 3 patches releasedMicrosoft has announced today that Windows Insiders in the 'Slow' ring will now have access to Windows 10 build 10041. In addition to the Slow ring deployment, there are also three new updates for Fast ring users too.
The three patches will make the platform more stable, which is likely why build 10041 is now rolling out to the Slow ring. The three patches for Fast ring users address an issue with sharing a desktop in a meeting using Lync; resolve a problem that may result in a transparent Start screen and Task view, or transparencies when snapping or dragging windows; and can cause desktop thumbnails to appear as black squares, and there is a security update too.
and:
Just in case anyone missed the post elsewhere, there are now also official ISOs for 10041.
Mine is d/l now here in the UK - 70% at midnight. Hope they've sorted out the bugs!
Edit: D/L finished about 15 mins ago - most things seem to be screwed up - went into updates and it's started to add more ! Let's see how that pans out.
I just finished a fresh install of build 10041 from the ISO from MS. As soon as I finish making a image I'll start adding my programs.
Hi there
I'm happy with the ISO I made from the ESD file -- I think Update KB3046049 applies the fixes that have been incorporated into the "Slow" ring. Will be re-booting in about 5 mins to test -- main issue Transparency when you expand the start menu.
Transparency problem ==> NOK
Anybody who has used the Official ISO -- is it fixed yet.
Cheers

Taskbar fixed - it also means if you like using custom toolbars you can move it to Left next to the Windows Logo. (I've another thread on how to configure this including adding Metro apps and Internet links to the cascading menu displayed by the toolbar).
Note though - the Hide system icons box has been removed from the display settings -- if you apply the registry fix then the arrow doesn't work (as before) and the all aps is hidden again by the logo (as before) when you have an auto hide taskbar.
I've left the system icons to display on taskbar - not a biggy and I DO prefer the auto hide taskbar to work.
Screen shot of Custom toolbar next to windows logo at bottom left of screen.

I thought the the transparent start menu was a design feature and not a bug.
The way it works currently (showing all the rubbish behind) is a known bug.sourceThe intended design is that that only the wallpaper is visible behind these surfaces.
Hi there
If you look at the updates made for the SLOW ring that was one of the fixes mentioned - but it isn't obviously working yet (at least on my machine). Your link was the First set of notes when 10041 appeared originally for the Fast ring.
