I really like what they're doing with it so far.
Seems the Media Console, activated by keyboard controls and shows in the upper left of your screen, will host 3 sources: Windows Media Player, Music App and Sound Recorder and is switchable with the 'light' bar on the right of the console.

if you toggle the 'OpenAtLogon' entry to 1 you'll boot straight to the Start Menu/Screen and it also adds an option to Taskbar Properties Menu automatically.
