Microsoft will deliver, at least, one new Windows 10 build per month

During the past few weeks, Microsoft has promised to improve the speed at which Windows 10 builds are released to Insiders. While it has been over 50 days since today's release of build 10041, Microsoft is going start delivering on the speed improvement promise in a big way.

I had a chance to talk with Gabe Aul today, head of the Windows Insider Program, and he said that for Fast ring users, they will now deliver one build pre month but there is a good chance that there could be multiple releases in a month too.

I have no problem with MS taking their time between builds. I would rather have releases that all known bugs are fixed. I didn't like being lead to believe a build was going to be released the last week of February and then denying it was said. Keep me informed of what's going on and I'll be happy to wait for future builds.

That's nice.. I hope they can hold to that.

I guess my view will be the exception, then because I'd rather get more builds more rapidly, even if that means that things will be "broken" than wait week after week after week for something that is going to change again, anyway.

In my case, I do a full image backup of Win10TP prior to upgrading to each new build. That way, if the new build is a disaster, it's a five-minute process to get the older, working, build restored.

Besides, this is the "fun" part of testing -- trying out new stuff. If we're going to have to wait two months between builds (which is what we're rapidly approaching from the last one), simply so that everything can be nice and stable and bug-free, then we might as well wait for the RTM -- it's only a few months away, itself.

After today, there are 8 calendars to go. If you discount weekends and someone said on this forum Friday's and Monday's, then we are down to 4 or maybe 5 days left this month.

Just stating a fact...and leaks don't count.

Once a month? Not enough! Give us anything every week. We even download and test leaks at our own risk so just give us anything you have. With ot without bugs.

And they kept their promise..

We've heard this story before.
I might believe it, when I see it.
