Limited internet access but not

Hi Guys,

I'm having a look at my brother in laws computer which is windows 10 and I am coming up with a doozy of an issue for someone of my level. So he was unable to run Fifa15 and discovered that you need windows media player to run it. When using the add windows features it kept coming up with error 0x800F0922 which is .NET 3.5. I tried to disable and enable .NET3.5 and while it disabled fine it would not enable. It appears that no microsoft service can get access to the microsoft servers. The ethernet is limited however the internet browser is working fine and with Windows 7 I would have just downloaded the software and installed in manually but it appears Windows 10 does not like people doing anything the old fashioned way and I am unable to find any of the software (plus it would not solve the issue probably).

He had recently installed panda internet security after AVG stopped working and would not install. After having both AVG and panda installed he could then remove AVG although the original issue was never looked into. Not having any experience with Panda I swapped it for Avast which I normally run and did some sweeps including a startup sweep and quarantined:

trz8483.tmp
N1Cert.dll - NMsvc
N1Service.dll - NMsvc
N1service64.dll - NMsvc

Still trying to find out what NMsvc is however this has not solved the issue that windows 10 thinks there is limited ethernet, all problem solving/troubleshoot problems do not detect any issues and chrome is working fine browsing the internet. The store does not work either so I believe it is just the microsoft servers that cannot be contacted. Any ideas greatly received.

N1service64.dll - NMsvc

Network Manager Suite is a software program developed by Guardian Technologies. Upon being installed, the software adds a Windows Service which is designed to run continuously in the background. Manually stopping the service has been seen to cause the program to stop functing properly. It adds a background controller service that is set to automatically run. Delaying the start of this service is possible through the service manager. The setup package generally installs about 20 files and is usually about 6.79 MB (7,114,966 bytes). Relative to the overall usage of users who have this installed on their PCs, most are running Windows 7 (SP1) and Windows 8. Most users that have installed this software come from the United States.

so it looks like something was installed that uses that guardian software

is the gamne crashing? or failing to start?

Anyone unable to play FIFA 15 since upgrading to Win 10? : FIFA

seems alot on the net about fifa and win 10

Failing to start. That is not the issue though, windows media player and .net 3.5 cannot be initialised, the store cannot be opened. That is needed to solve the FIFA issue.

The Ethernet has limited access warning but chrome is working fine, it is only the Microsoft services that do not appear to be working.

Just to say, I managed to solve it. The auto updates had somehow backed up and November 2015 had not installed (despite auto installed checked) so after playing around with the auto updater it installed it and everything solved itself including being able to activate .net and windows media centre.

On a side note, have they not learned from the windows 8 debacle? The annoying app or desktop setup so it's confusing as to know which to be in. They have replaced it with just desktop in windows 10 then split control panel into settings AND a control panel. Just have a single point of use for everything! Do not think I'll be giving up my windows 7 yet.
