Everything worked fine before the Anniversary Update. Now i cannot setup a hotspot. I reinstalled the drivers that Windows installs by default for the device (Realtek RTL8188EU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter - worked before the update). Tried to update it from Device Manager, but there is no new update. Also tried with the latest drivers from .
When I typed in cmd netsh wlan show driversit says: Hosted network supported : No
For setting up the hotspot i use .
Can you guys help?
You may want to try this:
go to Device Mnager and Uninstall WiFi Driver. If there a Box saying "Delete Driver", check it
If it is a combo card (Wifi+BT), delete also the BT Driver.
Open Programs and Features
Delete Software for Wifi and BT
Reboot
Go again to Device manager , look for WiFi Card and right-click and select "Update Driver", Windows will look online for the right Drivers
If Windows did not find drivers, then install the ORIGINAL Drivers you have got with your PC or Download them from your PC Manucturer.
If this does not work, best option is roll back to previous OS version.
I've already tried all of your suggestions, except rolling back the OS, which i would rather not do.
Anything else i could try?
I have no more Options for you. If you did "Brute Force" uninstall Drivers and Reinstalled and still does not work, it does not look good.
Good luck.
