Confused Insider - Have I the released version?

Greetings....

First post here although I've been in read mode for many months. Now the deadline has passed I feel the need for some help and apologies for the length of the story.

I've been on the Insider Program for a few months and updated as new releases where made available on the Fast Ring. Not always successful but I got there in the end. 100240 proved a little tricky for some reason and updates, particularly Defender, often stalled or failed.

With no logic to the decision I decided to stop insider builds, using the Advanced Option in the settings window. Then tried to 're-connect' by clicking on the Get Started button. I think I hit the period when the servers where closed to further downloads since I got the usual 'Sorry!' message with error code 0x80310053

After the release date I went to the Insider web page and signed in and the download option was now available so I did this and updated my machine. However, the Get Started ( for insiders) is still producing the same error.

So, three questions:-

1. How do I know if I have the released version or not?

2. Is there anyway of forcing my version to allow me back onto the Insider Program Fast Ring

3. If my machine still wont let me back onto the Insider Program, will my version expire at any time?

FWIW: The laptop originally had XP installed but I wiped this prior to installing the first Insider Build.

Thanks in advance for your help

If you go into settings app and type in "insider" and click on "Advanced Windows Update options", down the bottom of that screen there is Get Insider Builds. If theres a button saying Get Started then your on the released version.

Thanks for the reply.

It's been saying Get Started for the last couple of weeks, i.e before the release date, so I'm not sure that actually proves anything.

1. How do I know if I have the released version or not?
Open a command prompt and type systeminfo.

The release version shows:

OS Version: 10.0.10240 N/A Build 10240

2. Is there anyway of forcing my version to allow me back onto the Insider Program Fast Ring
Don't know?

3. If my machine still wont let me back onto the Insider Program, will my version expire at any time?
Yes, it will cease to be activated at some time in the future.

Open a command prompt and type systeminfo.

The release version shows:

OS Version: 10.0.10240 N/A Build 10240
Thanks, that's what I have. What would it have indicated prior to the release version?

Even though MS knows I'm a member of the Insider Program? They acknowledge that when I sign in.

I don't know but I wouldn't sweat it. You've probably got 3 months for the 'Get Started' button to turn on before the activation expires. Maybe MS aren't adding 'new' Insiders on to the program for a temporary period while the roll out is in full swing?

Thanks - this is only a play system at the moment so no real problem - yet.
