I've only checked GTA V a.t.m.
You wouldn't be able to play it, because you need at least a Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz and GeForce 9800 GT.
Please note, the CPU and GPU are desktop variants, but it should give you an indication to what the minimum requirements are.
4GB of RAM is enough if you play at the minimum settings.

- GTA IV is best on minimum,
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 should be fine, possibly not on the highest settings though
- Camtasia Studio 8 looks to be fine on first sight,
- SonyVegas 13 looks to be fine too on first sight

I think that 720p is enough, i'am recording 1080p vids with my acer..
You shouldn't be worried then, your current laptop can do it so your new laptop should be capable of it too
