Can't Remove "Send To" & "Pin To Start" From Context Menu

Anyone knows why when i remove "Send To" & "Pin To Start" context menu entries from registry, windows automatically creates new one's after restart. Never had such problem in 8, and it's driving me nuts!!!!!

Thanks for help!

Hello Newuser015,

This may be able to help with that.

Pin to Start Menu - Add or Remove from Context Menu in Windows 7 - Windows 7 Help blog

Send to - Add or Remove from Context Menu - Windows 7 Help blog

Thanks for reply, Send To removes using reg file, but returns after PC reboot, Pin to start isn't removed.....

Possibly some utility program you may have installed adding it back?

Maybe shellmenuview & shellexview? Do you know locations of those entries in win10 registry? I would try delete them by hand....

You can edit the .reg files in the tutorials to see all the locations for them to help.

Reg key - "[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT*shellexContextMenuHandlers{a2a9545d-a0c2-42b4-9708-a0b2badd77c8}]" is deleted, but "Pin To Start" still apears in context menu. Maybe there is another key in win10?

Search for {a2a9545d-a0c2-42b4-9708-a0b2badd77c8}in Registry Editor using the Find and Find Next feature to see if there may be able more under a ContextMenuHandlers key.

This will not affect the Start menu context menu though.

Do i need to delete all of them?

Only the ones found in a ContextMenuHandlers key.

I would highly recommend to create a restore point first. This way if it messes something up, you could do a quick system restore using the restore point to undo it.
