How to remove 'Edit' and 'Print' from the context menu for images?
The context menu is on the right-click of the file but you also have the functions included on the Menu Toolbar, would have to disable that if the intention is to prevent use of those 2 items. And such things exist in more than one applet such as Paint, File Explorer, Wordpad, Notepad, etc. In other words they are global functions, found in everything.
i use a program called default programs editor
it lets you do things like that...
Yes, I'm well aware of that. I want to remove those options on context menus FOR images (.gif/.jpeg/.jpg/.png/.bmp,etc.) and not in the menus of applications, as I had and had not mentioned... Surely there are keys in the registry somewhere that pertain to this.
I'll check it out. Most of those programs I've come across for this sort of stuff aren't that thorough.
That's actually a pretty dandy program, though I've encountered an issue, so I hope you can help me.
I removed 'Set image to background', 'Edit', and 'Print' from the context menus for images, but now in their place 'Rotate Left' and 'Rotate Right' have appeared and the program doesn't seem to want to let me remove those particular options from the context menu?! Any help would be greatly appreciates!
[EDIT: Never mind! I found it: {FFE2A43C-56B9-4bf5-9A79-CC6D4285608A} Rotate Right and Rotate Left removed ]
Can you point me in the direction of the specific key? I seem to have several results for that.
I actually forgot to bookmark the location in RegEdit, sooo... lol. Try that program Hannelius suggested, Default Programs Editor. That should do it for you.
