Windows 10 - how windows should look

I think Windows 10's windows should look glassy like this:
Windows 10: 'Aero Glass' theme coming soon via simple mod - Neowin

Also, I think the icons like computer, recycle bin and folder should be flattened:

Trouble is MS are going through a flat phase at the moment. I hope they pull through by the time Windows 11 comes along.

I'd rather have Windows 10 (on my desktop) look more like Windows XP. No Aero (I hate Aero); opaque windows and taskbar; and most importantly, independently settable taskbar and window colours. Why they have to be the same I have no idea.

I'll wait and see what MS comes up with one way or the other.

I'd like MS to give us options! Allow us to either have a flat look or an XP/ 7 look. I think if they would do that, they would probably receive more support from long-time XP users and 7 users.

Just my opinion though.

I definitely want Aero. This flat look is ridiculous!

Yep this bland look has to go Success is all about settings options
Without options you end up with third party crap to get it most not free that actually work and are stable and without pups...
I do wish Microsoft at some point stops treating desktops as cell phones or tablets because it's really annoying

The flat look is actually one reason why 10 is snappy and fast. There's not much graphics rendering going on. I actually like the flat look. No harm with those tweaks. But it will drag the system down a little bit.

It should be flat by default. But MS should provide an option for customisation for those who like the looks better than speed.

I agree that there should be some amount of customization available for the users. For me, the flat look works just fine. I'm really not that much into eye candy in an OS. I just want it to run my programs, be stable and fast.

Some times you'll see a start up company show up on the web, or elsewhere, and their contextuals look quite juvenile and unsophisticated, perhaps for lack of a large design budget, or whatever reason.
To me, that's the look Windows seems to be tryingto achieve right now.
But that's just me!
