On the advanced settings page of update and recovery my update settings are greyed out. They are set on Fast and and stop insider build is also grey out. So I am not receiving the newest preview builds mentioned here. I am receiving driver updates.
On the top of this (and other pages) it says "Some settings are managed by your organization". Thing is I am the only user and did not join an organization. How can I change this "misunderstanding"
Same issue here and I see no resolve to this post, so maybe with 2 of the same issue someone will post a fix
I had this issue. In my case solving it was as simple as going to Settings/Privacy/Feedback and Diagnostics, and setting 'ask for feedback' to automatic and 'send device data' to Full.

Can't do that! Privacy settings you describe are "managed by the organization" (Catch-22). Any other ideas?
Open Windows Registry Editor and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPoliciesMicrosoftWindowsDataCollection
(if the following entry doesn't exist you must create it):
right click an empty area of the right pane and choose New►DWORD 32bit Value,
name it AllowTelemetryand set it's value to 3
Created key and value. Rebooted Didn't work. Used O&O Shutup (great program - 5.0s on Betanews) to enable all telemetry. Rebooted. Didn't work. Then used O&O Shutup to disable ALL unneeded telemetry to Microsoft (Keeping Automatic Update - I did get a few - ATI Video driver updates for example. Think I'll leave it at that. I can't even opt of Inside Program so it doesn't matter.
I searched on Google (actually I use DuckDuckGo) and found no solution
Well, O&O Shutup messes with the data collection MS need from Insider Builds. As soon as you start messing with the data collection, it mucks up your Insider status.
If you want to be an Insider, gosh, you have to let MS collect the data!Clean install is the answer here.
You're worried about Microsoft but install O&O Shutup? Read the TOS for O&O.
Clean install? Seriously? I have over 100 programs installed and all of the them are working properly - except the "Universal Applications" - including the Store itself. Except Edge Cortana, Einstein Quotes, Onenote iHeart Radio, Alarms and Clocks and Calendar. All the rest in the Store are junk and 3rd party apps are truly free and better.
BTW I'm now Dual Booting with openSUSE Leaf which, unlike Windows 10, is not a toy OS. SSD permanence on my Samsung 450 256 GB is reasonable with RAPID technology but I don't much difference with Linux and I haven't started optimizing the SSD and the BTRFS filesystem.
O - by the way I am using the newest WSUS and it updates Windows 10 quite well!
