Been thinking of upgrading my old desktop for a new one,Been looking at various sites for something that would be on the line for what I would require.
We have a local small computer shop nearby,I gave him an idea in what I had in mind.He came back to me this morning with a detail of the build and of course the total cost of the job.
Could I Please have some advice on the specs that I have been given to see any additions or some other options maybe can add or delete.

Just at first glance, not mentioning personal preferences, If you are not going to overclock, you do not need a "K" CPU. Save the money for something else. If you are going to overclock, you need a Z series Motherboard. He has you spending a little extra on an overclockable CPU and a non overclocking motherboard. Just go one way or the other.

What I use the desktop for.
I do quite a bit of photography.Word documents,Online banking well it's just general every day use.
The only thing I don't do is play games.Youtube downloads etc.
What would you say to that,Am I looking to much into that system specs for what I do.

For general use, you could do very well with an i5 instead of an i7. It will run office, email and web browsing just as well as an i7. You wouldn't notice a difference. If you do serious Photo editing or video encoding or CPU intensive things such as that, an i7 will help out. An i5 will still do those things, just an i7 would do them faster.

My personal opinion is that spending over $1,500 US on a computer to do what you intend to use it for - without even a monitor yet, is way too much money. Do you have any large retail stores there that sell retail computers off the shelf?Thanks for that.

Spot on @NavyLCDR. If you have $1500 spend $1000 on a TV or monitor. You will never regret that.My personal opinion is that spending over $1,500 US on a computer to do what you intend to use it for - without even a monitor yet, is way too much money
Then spend 400 on the graphics card and the last 100 on the rest.

The one thing that I would like to have is a ssd for the c drive then all documents etc on another internal drive.
