Just at first glance, not mentioning personal preferences, If you are not going to overclock, you do not need a "K" CPU. Save the money for something else. If you are going to overclock, you need a Z series Motherboard. He has you spending a little extra on an overclockable CPU and a non overclocking motherboard. Just go one way or the other.

Hi,Thanks for the reply.
Can you please explain to me what you mean by overclock

Thanks.

Running the CPU faster than it is designed to run. Also, what do you intend to do with the computer? What type of activities do you normally to do and what is your budget?

Thanks for that.
What I use the desktop for.
I do quite a bit of photography.Word documents,Online banking well it's just general every day use.
The only thing I don't do is play games.Youtube downloads etc.
What would you say to that,Am I looking to much into that system specs for what I do.
Your advice is much appreciated.

For general use, you could do very well with an i5 instead of an i7. It will run office, email and web browsing just as well as an i7. You wouldn't notice a difference. If you do serious Photo editing or video encoding or CPU intensive things such as that, an i7 will help out. An i5 will still do those things, just an i7 would do them faster.

What is the difference between "serious" and "intensive"?

My personal opinion is that spending over $1,500 US on a computer to do what you intend to use it for - without even a monitor yet, is way too much money. Do you have any large retail stores there that sell retail computers off the shelf?

Spot on @NavyLCDR. If you have $1500 spend $1000 on a TV or monitor. You will never regret that.

Then spend 400 on the graphics card and the last 100 on the rest.

Okay thanks to all,Been having second thoughts after reading all u'r advice.

The one thing that I would like to have is a ssd for the c drive then all documents etc on another internal drive.

Do you have any thoughts on this on.Please.
