I had build 10074 and was having problems with the mail app. I refreshed and went back to windows 8 and then 8.1. I decided to download build 10122 but when I down loaded I was only given build 10074. After downloading I was only getting windows 7, which works fine, but I can not go to the start screen to get the updates and then download build 10122. Is there a easy fix ?
I went to Best buy and the geek squad removed and reinstalled windows 8.1 for a merger price of $129.99. I'll wait for the windows 10 download.
Yeah, you can't afford too many of those. That's a ridiculous price for anyone to charge for just a reinstall. All they had to do was to reinstall the OS; they didn't have to remove anything.
II tried to install my 8.0 CD but would not take. Since I was not able to bring up any controls like, my computer, I was not able to change anything. I don't understand when I downloaded windows 10 build 10074 I only had the windows 7 desktop. Thanks for the concern but it was fixing something I didn't understand or buy a new computer. I have a ASUS T-100 transformer Ibought for my wife but it's to small in the fonts for me.
I'm back.....I tried 8.1 for a couple of days and longed for windows 10. I downloaded build 10130. It's working great. Now my icon is acting up and Verizon doesn't have a good replacement. I might get a droid and install as much windows stuff as I can on it.
Zick, I have an RCA 11.6" 'droid. It's nice, but it "ain't no Windows mochine"! This device is sold by WalMart. I picked mine up on sale for $169.00, but I understand this was an introductory price. They're probably closer to $200.00 by now. Still not a bad price. Also, I think if you're interested, you have to ask the manager of the technology department; they don't display them for some reason . . . probably because of the price.
I've seen where Microsoft "may" create a Windows version that would install on a 'droid, but that's in the future. What's here now is Microsoft Office for Android, which only includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Very few (excluding me) will want to use more than that in the Office suite. Oh, and there's now an Office for Android for 'droid phones.
I reset my phone and it's working. I was hoping to reset it to windows 8 but it went to windows 10 tech preview. There's a lot of things not working properly. In hindsight I should have kept windows 8.I am glad I have the windows 10 build 10130 on the laptop. I did install excel preview and the word Mobil app. on the phone. I can limp along till a larger windows phone comes in at Verizon.
