Hello!
I am currently on a search for a low impact free antivirus for my Windows 10 Home. I'm currently running 360 Total Security as main antivirus while SMADAV as my second line defense. My PC is running on 2GB RAM and 500GB HDD.
360 TS has been my antivirus for two years already after replacing AVAST as I find the pop ups intrusive. It is just recently that 360 TS seem to be taking too much resources on my RAM. It even slows down the startup time of my PC. I've replaced Malwarebytes with SMADAV as Malwarebytes tends to hog all the resources.
Any suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thank you.
Windows Defender with MBAM.
If it's hogging resources upgrade your RAM

Windows Defender, the free versions of Malwarebytes AntiMalware and Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit. Add the free version of CryptoPrevent. Update CryptoPrevent often, run a MBAM scan often and you have a good layered security suite. For even better protection you can buy a license for the Premium real-time version of MBAM and MBAE. Money very well spent.
