Does not auto connect to home wifi after latest W 10 updates

C55-A5180 Toshiba laptop windows 10 preview 10122
After the latest windows 10 updates the laptop will remember the network but I have to manually click to connect the wifi. I have it set to auto connect, see picture. Any Ideas?

Try turning off Airplane mode

Airplane mode is off

What router are you using? You're show Netgear as wi-fi source, and that doesn't sound like any "home" wi-fi I've ever seen. Try rebooting your router and/or check security settings in router for wi-fi and any password. I have wi-fi and ethernet on y desktop box and both work fine after latest updates.

Netgear 6300v2 AC1750
802.11ac Dual Band Gigabit

Runs fine on everything else, 5 laptops, 2 desktops, even connects automatically when I remove this hard drive and install the Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 hard drives I have for this laptop.
The network strength and speed are fine it just does not auto connect?

well the first picture looks like you have airplane mode enabled on the fast-menu right lower corner?

If it was in airplane mode, I'd expect to see an airplane icon in the system tray bottom right - which there isn't in that picture.

One thing I've found with my laptop (it's also a problem in 8.1 though so it's not new) is that I need to go into Device Manager for the WiFi adaptor, go into Power Management and turn off the setting called 'Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power'. Then do a Restart.

Thanks for the suggestions, not in airplane mode and device manager wifi power options box is unchecked, I tried all the normal things before posting here and the only thing that changed on this laptop was Windows update installed the latest updates.

I was only able to correct the issue by running the Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth found on Brinks post
here - SFC Command - Run in Windows 10[1]=Performance Maintenance
If not, then run the Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealthcommand to repair any component store corruption, restart the PC afterwards, and try the sfc /scannowcommand again.

Now it is auto connecting again!
