My Windows 10 seems to share some files and i cannot figure out how to disable files sharing.
I have 0 files in my Media player library, also, i have no other dlna sw installed that shares anything.
How to remove these files from shared list?
Edit: I just realized that all the shared files are .mov files. Are the .mov files automatically shared somehow?
From the Windows 10 desktop, click on the network icon in the task bar. Then click on the network settings link (mine is blue in color). Under related settings, click Advanced Sharing Options. Scroll to the bottom and expand all networks. Click on choose media streaming options. Click the block all button, then OK.
What program is that a screenshot of in your post?
Interesting as I do not have any Network icon on my taskbar, in file explorer its their, but not on my taskbar?? And I have 2 computers networked.
Unless you mean my RDC icon...
This one:
If it is a WiFi network, it will be the signal strength type icon.
Ok I do have that icon on lower right, mine is hardwired. No color thou white outline on black background. My mistake NavyLCDR forgot all about that sucker. Sorry....
Hi, thanks for the replies. But how can i disable it file-by-file? I would still like share some other files.
I don't remember sharing these .mov files. Note that they are located in some random video folders not anywhere inside the my documents.
Well what I do is just right click on the folder that files are in, choose properties, then click the share option, and either turn off, or on for that folder....... file by file.....don't know if its possible, but I'm sure if it is, one of the other guys will know for sure.
When i click on the folder it says that it is not shared. So it is not as simple as that.
What else could i do to resolve this?
