Title says it all.
Malwarebytes web site does not mention Edge?
I have done research and it seems MBAE may function with Edge.
Can somebody confirm either way?
It does with the RTM......but not with the latest Insider version which effects opening the browser.
I have no idea what this means? What is RTM?
It means released to manufacture.....in other words released to the general public.
Hi:
AFAIK there are no known general issues with MBAE (Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit) Free or Premium under Windows 10 AU RTM or Insider builds.
I could be wrong, but I am not aware of any specific issues reported at the MBAE Support forum with RTM or Insider Builds.
Yes, there are a handful of individual reports of issues and glitches, as one might expect.
No software can be expected to perform flawlessly on every single one of millions and millions of hardware/software setups.
There is a known issue with the standalone Junkware Removal Tool (JRT) and the latest build of Win10 AU RTM.
As reported here, JRT is not creating a SRP when it should.
The devs are aware and are working with MS to resolve it.
The workaround is to create a manual SRP before running JRT under Win 10 AU 14393.187.
But this is unrelated to MBAE.
If you are experiencing issues with MBAE and either AU 14393.187 or with an Insider build, it would be advisable to report the problem in the MBAE support forum HERE.
That's the only way the QA team and developers will know to research the problem, as they likely do not monitor this forum or the countless other general computer fora....
Cheers,
MM
Reported to Insider feedback as Edge refusing to open, reason MBAE conflict.
Thanks for reporting...
In order to bring it to the attention of the MBAE devs, however, I suggest the following:I do not work for Malwarebytes and have no financial or other interest in the product.
But there are not any similar, current reports at the MBAE forum that I can find.
So, it might expedite a "fix" to report it directly there, in addition to the MS reporting.
It's up to you, of course.
This is just a suggestion.
Cheers,
MM
Use an Anti-Exploit Program to Help Protect Your PC From Zero-Day Attacks
You can try HitmanPro.Alert as well and there is EMET which is a bit pain to setup, but it is free.
I have to agree with MM on this one. Reporting it to Malwarebytes only helps them to be proactive, and could solve a lot of problems for future. Only takes a minute. If I were still on Insider I would do it.
Maybe the problem is random?
I have been using MBAE Free since upgrading to Win10 Pro back in June of this year. I use EDGE, am on AU 14393.222; I haven’t had any conflicts and still don’t.
